Tri Training, Week 2

I am now entering week two of my training program. I gotta say, week one didn't really go the way I had planned. A lot of that is my own fault. I didn't eat as well as I should have. Four days of ice and snow had me craving things like hot chocolate and cozy quilts, which I ended up having in abundance. I'm not sorry and I don't regret indulging this week, but it means that I have to have a really good nutritional week this week, so I'll need to really keep track of what I'm eating. The ice and snow had a huge impact on my training... I only got one day in last week! I decided not to redo week one. My workout volume is only increasing by ten percent this week, so moving straight into week two is totally doable. I'll need to work hard and stay strong, but I know I can do it!

I'm really looking forward to taking a couple of days and getting out of town. I'm heading to San Antonio with L for TMEA convention. Can't wait! We always have a great time :-) I'm really hoping that the weather doesn't compromise our travel plans.... it's supposed to snow again on Wednesday when we leave. Pray that it's sunny weather all day!

Here's the training schedule for week two:

Monday: 13 minute swim/26 minute bike
Tuesday: 22 minute run
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: 44 minute bike
Friday: 13 minute run
Saturday: Off
Sunday: 22 minute swim

Since Wednesday and Saturday are my traveling days, those are the ones that I decided to take off this week. That way, I can be a little more flexible on those days just in case something doesn't go quite according to plan (but pray that it does!).
