Yesterday was the beginning of my triathlon training! Nutrition could have been better, but I did get in the exercise. On the schedule for yesterday was a 12 minute run. Nothing too hard, so I decided to work for speed. I started with a five minute power walk to help warm up my muscles. After taking a week off, I probably should have done more, but I wasn't going far and I don't feel any pain or soreness today. Then I ran for 12 minutes, pacing myself so that I would return to my front door when my time ended. It worked perfectly! Total distance was 1 mile, running distance was .76 miles. Running pace was 16:02, which is the fastest I've gone without doing intervals. I almost didn't feel like going, but I'm so glad that I did! I'm ready to go again today (a 20 minute run is on my schedule) but it's stupid cold outside and the roads in town are one giant sheet of ice so I don't really want to drive to the gym. I'll have to find some way to get it in without leaving the house. I'll let you know how that goes!
I lost a tiny bit more weight this week, which puts me only 1.2 pounds away from losing a total of 10!
