I would love to blog more, but it's been a busy week! Once a week probably isn't too bad though :-) Here's the update for week three....
Running: Definitely not up to where I need to be. I ended up skipping a couple of short runs this week because it was snowing, or because it was 20 degrees, or dark, or I just couldn't get to the gym during their staffed hours (we're not members just yet, but I'm hoping by the end of next week we will be!). I'm doing a long run tomorrow that will probably go badly, but I'm really pumped about wearing my new shoes to train in. I broke them in a little by wearing them around the house for a day, and I can already tell a little bit of a difference in the way they feel compared to my old shoes. They're the exact same shoe, but the way these feel just confirm to me that the old shoes had broken down too far to be good for training. I'll probably make them my everyday shoe now.
Nutrition: A few more temptations this week, but I feel like I handled them well. I'm definitely still on track. Charlie has decided to start making a weekly menu. He's tired of me coming home and saying things like "What's for dinner?" and then taking another hour to decide on a meal, only to find that we're out of an ingredient. The menu has totally solved that problem, and it's a good way to make sure that I stay on track by eating what's on the menu for dinner instead of copping out because I'm tired and would rather do something easy for dinner instead of what's healthier.
Weight loss: After my gain of .2 last week, I'm happy to report that I am down another 2 pounds, which make a total of 8.5! I'm so excited about that! I think that losing a total of 10 pounds by the time of the 15K next weekend is definitely doable. I'm looking forward to losing a total of 15 pounds by TMEA :-)
