Who Rocks??

I rock!! I totally kicked butt on the three miles. We were able to run inside in the gym. Good thing, because that was hard enough. I'm not sure I would have made it outside. It was hard. I started out okay, but after a mile I was starting to feel the burn majorly. I did up my running intervals, so I only ran 5 minute stretches, and that's why after only one mile my calves were on fire. The middle was terrible. I thought I was going to die. But by the time I got to the last one, five minutes went by like nothing. I walked to cool down the last third of a mile but that was taking too long to finish so I ended up running the last minute or two anyway. It felt really good to finish! I'm so excited about reaching that milestone, and I'm so glad I don't have to reach it every day :-) But now I know what it feels like to (mostly) run three miles and I can remember that when I'm gearing up for my 5k later in the fall.
