At The Beginning...

Today marks the first day of my journey to make me a healthier me. This blog will serve two purposes. The first is to keep a record of my progress and setbacks so that I have something to refer back to and can hopefully learn from to make things easier in the future. The second is a means to report what I am doing to a few key people who will help keep me honest with myself and help me stay on track.

My goals are pretty simple. I want to have more energy. I want to have fewer health risks. Now that I'm married and have a daughter, life isn't just about me anymore. I need to be healthy so that I'm not a burden on my family (emotionally and financially) and I want to be able to have enough energy to keep up with Taryn. She's growing up so fast and I want to be there and be able to keep up. If I should drop a few sizes in the process, well, what a great perk!

I will be following Cracking The Fat Loss Code by Wendy Chant. I ordered the book today from Barnes And Noble online. Mom is going to be so upset that she paid the full price of $16 for the same book I just got done paying $4 dollars for... haha! I guess after the new year, everybody's resolution is to lose some weight. But I will be different because I will actually stick to what I'm doing (I hope).

My book should come in 3-4 days and as soon as I'm done reading it I'll review it and get started. I'm so ready to start making some changes!
