So it's day 3 and I'm already down 8 pounds! AND my jeans actually fit like they're supposed to, right out of the dryer! AND I found an awesome recipe for tilapia filets that I can actually eat on my detox week! Here it is....
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
1 1/2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of softened butter
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon of dried basil
1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon of onion powder
1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon of celery salt
Mix all this together and set aside. Broil 4 tilapia filets on the top oven rack for 3 minutes. Flip them over and broil for 3 more minutes. Brush on the cheese sauce and broil for 3 more minutes until the cheese has turned brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
This is seriously yummy!! But make sure the fish is really fresh. I bought mine at Wal-mart.... should have known better though. Next time I'll go somewhere else. Tilapia is not supposed to have a real fishy flavor when it's fresh. But the recipe is really good. Even Charlie (who does not eat fish) said it was way better than he expected and that we should try it again later this week :-) If that's not a good review, I don't know what is!
AND - I'm down eight whole pounds and it's only day 3!!
