I See Progress :-)

So here's my obligatory mid-week post. I'm pretty excited about the way things are going this week! So far, I've stuck to the good nutrition. I'm actually feeling a lot better now that it's getting to be the end of the week than I did at the beginning of the week. I attribute a lot of that to the good foods that I've been eating. Now that my body has processed most of the junk out of my system, I'm feeling pretty good and I don't really crave the bad stuff anymore. I don't know if the lack of craving is from the good eating or because I really overdid during last weekends munchies-fest, but either way it feels good to be able to eat well without even wanting junk food. The running is going good too. I ended up not repeating week 5 day 1, and just went ahead to day 2. When I run again tomorrow, I'm going to try to move up to day 3. We'll see how it goes. I've been having a touch of pain in my left thigh, so if it's feeling better by tomorrow, I'll go ahead and move up.

I totally cheated and weighed in early this morning. They say you're only supposed to do that once a week so that you don't get depressed when the scale doesn't move every day. I find that sometimes it helps me because if it's not moving then I know I need to step it up, and if it is moving then I know I'm going in the right direction. Technically, Monday is my day to weigh in for the week. This morning, the scale reported a loss of 2.2 pounds from this Monday! I'm sooooo excited about this, especially after having stuck to the running since June and seeing very little results from it. 2.2 pounds in one week is HUGE for me, and it's really motivating me to stick with it so that I can lose another 2.2 pounds before Monday :-)
