Hardcore: Week 3

So far, so good. I don't think I posted an update on Monday about last week's progress, so let me just say that it was a rough week. I didn't get all my running in and I had great nutrition but only up until the weekend. I completely blew my whole weekend. I only lost half a pound, but considering what the weekend was like, I'm okay with that. This week is already much better. Just since Monday, I've gotten back on track with the running. I'm up to 1.7 miles of nonstop running. I drove my route and clocked the mileage in the car so I know exactly how far I'm going. I bought a pedometer, but I guess I didn't have it clipped on right because it only measured half a mile. I KNOW I ran farther than that because of the reading I got in my car. I'll try the pedometer again tomorrow.

I cheated and weighed in early today, because I felt lighter and I wanted to see what the scale said. 2.2 pounds down this week, and that's just since Monday! The number I got on the scale this morning is one I haven't seen in a while (that's a good thing), even though my total loss is only about five pounds. My jeans are actually a nearly perfect fit again! I'm sticking to the diet pretty hardcore, and I'm getting results. It looks like I might actually meet my first goal, which is to be under 200 pounds by Christmas. That means I have 37 to go, and a little over three months to get it gone. If I continue at my current rate of about three pounds a week, I might actually exceed my goal, and that would make me very happy :-)
