I Miss My Carbs!

It's true.... I really miss carbs right now. I've decided that I really do need to be more careful to give myself the right fuel for my body so I can run more effectively. Unfortunately, that means giving up all the carbs that I love like french fries, white breads, pastas, tortillas, crackers, cookies, and most dairy products. My body automatically goes to those for fuel, when I really want it to take the fat. This is the first run I've done where I've had a low carb diet the day before. I did really great for the first 3/4. My new playlist was on my ipod, all driving and hardcore, and I was doing great until I hit the last 3 minute run segment. The first minute was okay but the last two were pure torture! But I made it, and the rest of the workout was fine. I think Friday will be easier, if I can stick to my jumpstart plan. And I know the following weeks will be easier because I can add healthy carbs back in a few at a time. So, I'm going to stick with it. I can do it!

  1. Yes gotta love torture! It's part of it. But that torture is what makes the end so great :0)
